Ann Stingle is a new playwright in the D.C. area. One-act plays include Starflower Sanctuary performed at the Edward Albee New Playwrights Workshop at Stages Theatre in Houston and Grace at Zulu Four performed at the Silver Spring Stage One-Act Play Festival. Ten-minute plays include Trophies of War set in Darfur, and Take Me With You, Wyclef Jean! set in Haiti.

Her most recent work is the full-length play, STILL BEATING HEARTS, about wounded soldiers returning home from war. It was selected for Theatre of the First Amendment’s First Light Discovery Program; the Page-to-Stage Festival at the Kennedy Center; and a reading at Charter Theatre in Washington D.C.

Ann is a member of the Playwright’s Forum in Washington D.C. She majored in theatre at Southwestern University in Texas and currently lives with her husband in Fairfax, Virginia.
